Save the Dates Advice - Part 2 of 2

Last week in part one, I indicated what you should consider including in your Save the Dates! This week, I want to discuss current trends/styles.

Magnet
The magnet style save the date continues to be one of the most convenient, affordable and practical options available. Why? A couple of reasons:
  • Recipients will place it on their refrigerator, a high-traffic area in most households. Your date is sure to become firmly established over time!
  • With the rise of companies like Magnetstreet and Zazzle, there are literally hundreds of stock designs to choose from and they can be easily personalized. You eliminate design costs (unless you are looking for a super custom solution) and can communicate your big day affordably.
  • There are tons of different ways to get creative with this vehicle! Different shapes, content, etc. Have fun with this one!

Photostrip
The photostrip style save the date can be used as a magnet or a postcard. VERY popular... Especially for fun-loving couples, the photostrip allows you to show your playful side, and set up your photos to include key content to communicate.

Calendar
SO many ways to roll out the calendar style! It is popular to indicate a calendar on the save the date with your date highlighted in a special way. Don't be afraid to push your designer to come up with a fresh way to communicate this idea!

Nice spin on the calendar by focusing on "the" day... Resembles a desk calendar.

The date here is indicated by a simple circle...

Different components can always be mixed, note the picture AND the calendar!

Hope that these ideas will help you as you plan! Next, I'll be sharing a wonderful chocolate and sand wedding invitation suite executed for an October 1st bride! Can't wait. Take care til' next time... --ct
